Little Red Riding Hood

I watch her movements. I was greatly tempted to move closer and risk being seen. The girl, in her red hood and bodice, dancing around suggestively in among the wild flowers. She didn’t know I was there, but all the creatures in the forest were watching. I could tell she wanted to be seen. That’s why she wore that bright costume. I saw her earlier; flirting with that wolf, showing him everything she had hidden in her basket. She deserves what’s coming to her. Of course, she’ll argue that she didn’t do anything to provoke the assault. If I was him, I’d toy with her first. I’d devour her grandmother in front of her and make her watch. I’d do the same with her mother. Her mother! Sending this young girl out into the wild on her own. She knew this would happen. That’s why she sent her out. She knew her daughter wouldn’t make it to the house in the centre of the woods. She knew the girl wouldn’t listen to her advice and stick to the path and not talk to strangers. She’s a murderer! Not that wolf. He’s the victim. A tool in the sick mother’s plan to get rid of the grandmother and the daughter at the same time. She pays me to hunt these wolves, but she’s more dangerous than they are. The girl has made it to the house in the centre of the woods, untainted. I know who will be waiting inside, but I’ll let her go in. She won’t wander of the path next time.
